Chairs
Chairs are an area of particular interest and cover a range of dining and occasional chairs.
Featured here are three stock designs.
The ‘Chiltern’ dining chair (this one in Black Walnut with Ash seat) is a versatile design available in a wide variety of European and North American hardwoods with either a solid wood or upholstered seat. Other examples of this design can be seen on the ‘Dining’ page. The Case Studies page includes a ladder back carver version. Prices start at £750 each depending on the options chosen and the number ordered.
The ‘Morton’ features turned stretcher rails and scalloped seat which combine to create a light but strong and comfortable chair. This one is in Elm. Priced from £950 each, available as either a slat or ladder back.
The ‘Lake’ is my interpretation of a traditional Captain’s chair. The low back is designed to give lumbar support, complemented by a deeply scalloped seat. The example shown here is in Cherry. Available from £1900.
